Email Activation, Store Secure vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
Email Activation, Store Secure and Singleton | Verify Customers both aim to enhance account security and control for Shopify stores. However, they differ significantly in their scope and maturity. Email Activation, Store Secure focuses on securing accounts, but its minimal review count suggests it's a newer and less tested app. Singleton | Verify Customers, on the other hand, is a more established app focused on customer verification and access control, evidenced by its significantly higher number of reviews. Singleton allows merchants to approve or decline customers, hide prices, and customize the registration process, targeting merchants who need granular control over who sees their products and prices. This focus indicates a stronger leaning towards B2B or wholesale merchants, while the other app is more vague.

Our Verdict
Singleton | Verify Customers is the better choice for merchants who require stringent control over who can access their products, particularly those operating B2B or wholesale businesses where custom pricing or customer segmentation is crucial. Its ability to verify customers, hide prices, and customize registration forms offers powerful features for managing customer access. Email Activation, Store Secure may be suitable for merchants primarily concerned with basic account security, however, the lack of reviews makes it difficult to determine its efficacy and target audience. Given the data at hand in 2026, there is more evidence available supporting the effectiveness and usefulness of Singleton | Verify Customers. The sheer number of reviews lends more credibility to the App's purported capabilities.
