EmbedSocial: Shoppable UGC vs Sharely: Social Media Iconsfor Shopify (2026)
EmbedSocial: Shoppable UGC and Sharely: Social Media Icons both aim to leverage social media to benefit Shopify stores, but they take very different approaches. EmbedSocial focuses on aggregating user-generated content (UGC) from platforms like Instagram, X, and YouTube and transforming it into shoppable experiences within the store. Its strength lies in its ability to showcase authentic customer experiences and directly link them to product sales. In contrast, Sharely prioritizes establishing a strong social media presence by providing customizable social media icons and sharing buttons, driving traffic to external social media profiles and encouraging store sharing on those platforms. The primary difference lies in their functionality. EmbedSocial is about bringing social proof *into* the store to directly influence sales, while Sharely is about driving traffic *out* of the store to build a broader social media following and facilitate sharing. EmbedSocial's target audience is likely larger stores looking to boost conversions with authentic UGC, while Sharely is geared towards smaller stores focused on building their brand's social media presence and increasing brand awareness. The vast difference in ratings and reviews suggests Sharely has a much stronger established reputation and user base.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Sharely appears to be the more reliable and well-received app. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews suggest a positive user experience and effective functionality. For merchants prioritizing a visible social media presence and driving traffic to their social profiles, Sharely is the clear choice.
EmbedSocial, while promising, has no ratings or reviews, making it a risky choice in its current state. If a merchant is specifically looking to leverage UGC for direct sales and is comfortable potentially being an early adopter, EmbedSocial might be worth exploring *if* the claims about ease of use and powerful features hold true after a thorough trial. However, given the lack of social proof, Sharely presents a much safer and potentially more immediately beneficial option for most Shopify store owners in 2026.
