Enhance: Approve New Customers vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)

Enhance: Approve New Customers focuses on manually validating new customer registrations and restricting guest access, emphasizing notifications and email updates for customers regarding their account status. It positions itself as a simple, comprehensive solution for managing new customer accounts. In contrast, Singleton | Verify Customers offers more extensive control, allowing merchants to verify customers, hide prices and 'add to cart' buttons from unapproved users, customize the registration form with custom fields, and even hide store content for unapproved users. Our Verdict
Singleton | Verify Customers appears to be the stronger choice for most merchants in 2026. The app's more comprehensive feature set, particularly its ability to customize the registration form, hide prices and add-to-cart buttons, and manage users via tags, offers greater control and flexibility. The significantly higher number of reviews also suggests a more established and reliable app. However, Enhance: Approve New Customers might be a better fit for smaller businesses or those who only require a basic customer approval system and prioritize simplicity over extensive features. If ease of use is paramount and only basic approval functionality is needed, Enhance might suffice, but the lack of reviews and limited feature set make it a riskier choice.
