Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B vs Split, A/B Testing Price Testfor Shopify (2026)
Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B and Split, A/B Testing Price Test are two distinct Shopify apps that address different aspects of pricing. Enhance focuses on transparent price display for businesses serving both B2B and B2C customers, particularly those needing to show VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive prices simultaneously. It caters to businesses operating in regions with VAT regulations, emphasizing clarity and customization in price presentation. Split, on the other hand, is an A/B testing tool aimed at optimizing pricing, discounts, and other aspects of the customer experience to maximize profit. It targets merchants seeking data-driven decisions through experimentation and analysis. The key difference lies in their core function: Enhance provides VAT-related price display, whereas Split focuses on price optimization through A/B testing. Enhance offers features like setting tax rates based on various criteria (country, product, customer tag) and customizing the visual appearance of the dual price display. Split offers A/B testing for various aspects of the store, real-time analytics, traffic segmentation, and inventory synchronization, emphasizing rapid testing and deployment of winning strategies. Therefore, the 'pricing' category represents very different use cases.

Our Verdict
For businesses needing to display VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive prices clearly, especially those serving both B2B and B2C customers, Enhance: VAT Dual Prices B2B is the better choice. Its features are specifically designed for this purpose, and the high rating with a decent number of reviews suggests strong user satisfaction.
On the other hand, if the primary goal is to optimize pricing and other aspects of the customer experience through data-driven experimentation, Split, A/B Testing Price Test is more suitable. Although its rating is lower and has fewer reviews, its functionality caters to A/B testing, which Enhance does not offer. A merchant focusing on A/B testing multiple variables (discounts, shipping, etc.) should consider Split.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Enhance is likely easier to set up for its core function of displaying dual prices, as it focuses on configuration rather than experimentation. Split, while claiming 'no code' setup, involves designing and monitoring A/B tests, potentially requiring more ongoing effort.
Which app is more valuable for international businesses?
Enhance is more valuable for international businesses that operate in regions with VAT regulations and need to show prices both with and without VAT. Split's value is less directly tied to international commerce unless testing regional pricing strategies.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, yes. You could use Enhance to handle VAT price display and then use Split to A/B test different prices (with and without VAT displayed according to Enhance's settings). However, ensure that the A/B test accounts for the price presentation rules set by Enhance to avoid confusing results.
Which app offers more customization options?
Enhance offers more customization specifically related to price display (font size, color, text prefixes/suffixes). Split's customization lies in the configuration of A/B tests and traffic segmentation.
Which app is better for increasing overall store revenue?
Split is explicitly designed to increase revenue through optimized pricing, discounts, and shipping rates. While Enhance improves clarity, its impact on revenue is indirect, stemming from increased customer trust and reduced confusion.
