Enlistly Affiliate, Influencer vs Optimise Affiliate Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
Enlistly Affiliate, Influencer and Optimise Affiliate Marketing both target Shopify merchants seeking to leverage affiliate, influencer, and referral marketing to boost sales. Enlistly positions itself as an automated, easy-to-use platform for managing these programs directly, emphasizing customizability and flexible payouts. It seems aimed at merchants who want complete control over their affiliate program and prioritize building direct relationships. Optimise, on the other hand, pitches itself as a comprehensive *partnership* marketing platform, implying a broader scope that includes connecting merchants with a pre-existing network of partners, affiliates, and influencers. The key difference lies in their approach: Enlistly provides the tools to build and manage an affiliate program yourself, whereas Optimise offers access to an existing network. This translates to varying levels of involvement and control for the merchant. Enlistly focuses on custom onboarding, branding and flexible payouts, whereas Optimise highlights access to a global reach and automated campaign operations. Merchants with existing affiliate relationships and those who value direct control will lean towards Enlistly. Merchants who require access to a large affiliate network and are comfortable with less direct control will be more drawn to Optimise.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Enlistly and Optimise depends on the merchant's specific needs and resources. Enlistly is a stronger choice for merchants who already have some affiliate relationships or are comfortable actively recruiting and managing their own affiliates. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest a user-friendly platform with effective tools for building a custom affiliate program. The focus on branded onboarding, flexible payments, and data sharing supports close relationships with affiliates.
Optimise, with its lack of ratings and reviews, presents a greater risk. However, for merchants seeking immediate access to a large network of affiliates and influencers, and who are willing to cede some control over the affiliate recruitment process and payment management, Optimise *might* be worth exploring (with extreme caution and a thorough trial period). Its potential lies in scalability and quick access to a wider audience, but the lack of user feedback is a major red flag in 2026.
Common Questions
Which app is better for beginners in affiliate marketing?
Enlistly, with its focus on custom onboarding and intuitive tools, is likely more suitable for beginners. Optimise's reliance on a pre-existing network might be overwhelming without prior experience.
Which app offers more flexibility in payment options?
Enlistly explicitly states support for any payment method, providing the greatest flexibility. Optimise does not mention payment options, implying less flexibility or reliance on network-defined standards.
Which app provides better control over branding and affiliate communication?
Enlistly emphasizes custom branded onboarding and data sharing, suggesting greater control over branding and communication. Optimise's focus on network access implies less control over individual affiliate interactions.
Which app is more focused on direct relationships with affiliates?
Enlistly, through its focus on custom onboarding, data sharing, and flexible payment options, clearly prioritizes building direct relationships with affiliates. Optimise seems geared towards managing a larger network with less direct engagement.
What are the risks of choosing Optimise Affiliate Marketing given the lack of reviews?
The lack of reviews for Optimise suggests potential issues with reliability, customer support, or overall app performance. Merchants should proceed with extreme caution and prioritize a thorough trial period before committing to a paid plan. Consider that in 2026, a 0/5 rating and zero reviews is a massive warning sign.
