EOE ‑ Easy Order Editing vs MergeIt ‑ Combine Merge Ordersfor Shopify (2026)
EOE ‑ Easy Order Editing and MergeIt ‑ Combine Merge Orders both aim to improve the post-purchase experience for Shopify merchants, but they address fundamentally different needs. EOE focuses on allowing *customers* to edit their existing orders, providing flexibility in modifying details like shipping address, product variants, and quantities, thereby reducing cancellations and support tickets. MergeIt, while lacking specific details, suggests a focus on consolidating multiple orders, likely placed by the same customer, into a single shipment, implying a logistical optimization angle. EOE's strength lies in its customer-facing order editing capabilities, empowering shoppers and streamlining the fulfillment process by minimizing the need for manual intervention. The ability to generate branded invoices further enhances the user experience. MergeIt's potential strength resides in its ability to simplify order management and reduce shipping costs by merging orders. However, without more feature details, it's difficult to definitively assess its capabilities. The primary difference is that EOE is customer-facing, while MergeIt is likely focused on backend logistics.
