Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with providing customers post-purchase flexibility to edit their orders, minimizing cancellations and support inquiries, EOE ‑ Easy Order Editing is the superior choice. Its focus on customer empowerment and ease of use makes it ideal for businesses seeking to enhance customer satisfaction. However, the caveat about manual payment capture needs to be considered.
SplitOrder is better suited for merchants dealing with complex fulfillment scenarios involving multiple warehouses, suppliers, or product variations requiring specialized handling (e.g., personalized items). Its strength lies in its ability to automate order splitting, optimizing fulfillment workflows and routing orders to the appropriate locations. If fulfillment efficiency is paramount, SplitOrder is the stronger option.
