EPOS Integration & Sync vs Stockist Store Locatorfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, merchants deciding between 'EPOS Integration & Sync' and 'Stockist Store Locator' are facing fundamentally different app categories despite both being listed under 'Selling in person' on Shopify. 'EPOS Integration & Sync' aims to bridge the gap between a physical store's EPOS system (likely EPOS V5 specifically) and the Shopify online store, focusing on inventory and sales synchronization. Its value proposition is streamlining operations and reducing manual data entry. 'Stockist Store Locator', on the other hand, is designed to enhance the customer experience and drive in-store traffic by providing an easy-to-use, customizable store locator on the Shopify website. The most immediate and striking difference is the user feedback: 'Stockist Store Locator' boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on a substantial 273 reviews, indicating a high level of user satisfaction and a well-established product. 'EPOS Integration & Sync', conversely, has no reviews and a 0/5 rating, raising concerns about its reliability and functionality. The target audiences are also quite distinct. 'EPOS Integration & Sync' caters to businesses already using an EPOS V5 system and seeking tight integration with their Shopify store, while 'Stockist Store Locator' targets any merchant with physical store locations (or retailers and dealers) who want to improve in-store sales and customer access to their products.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, 'Stockist Store Locator' appears to be the significantly more reliable and feature-rich app. Its high rating and numerous reviews suggest a well-developed and user-friendly product. It's ideal for any Shopify merchant with physical retail locations who wants to enhance customer findability and drive in-store sales.
'EPOS Integration & Sync' is a much riskier choice, given its lack of reviews and zero rating. While its functionality – synchronizing an EPOS system with Shopify – could be valuable, the absence of user feedback makes it difficult to assess its effectiveness or reliability. A merchant should only consider this app if they are specifically using EPOS V5, desperately need this particular integration, and are willing to accept the potential risks associated with an untested product.
