Erplain B2B Sales & Inventory vs Thrive Inventory Managementfor Shopify (2026)
Erplain B2B Sales & Inventory and Thrive Inventory Management both aim to solve inventory problems for Shopify merchants. Erplain seems to position itself specifically towards B2B sales, hinting at features tailored for wholesale management, although the provided data is limited to infer specific B2B functionalities. Thrive Inventory Management presents itself as a comprehensive inventory solution applicable across various business models, focusing on moving merchants away from manual processes like spreadsheets. It emphasizes robust stock management with advanced features such as demand forecasting, multi-channel syncing, bundles, component-level tracking, AI assistance, and extensive reporting. The primary difference lies in their apparent scope and proven popularity. While both apps have a perfect 5/5 rating, Thrive Inventory Management boasts significantly more reviews (99 versus Erplain's 9), suggesting a larger user base and greater community validation. Thrive's description also details features like multi-channel syncing and AI-powered PO/invoice import, which Erplain does not explicitly mention. Based on available data, Thrive's value proposition leans towards providing more sophisticated inventory management tools and automation, suitable for larger or more complex businesses. Therefore, merchants should choose carefully based on their scale, complexity, and specific B2B needs. If B2B is a primary concern, investigate further if Erplain has B2B specific tools that are not mentioned in the description, before going straight to Thrive. If the features of Thrive Inventory match the merchant's needs, then the large review number is good additional validation.

Our Verdict
For smaller businesses or those specifically focused on B2B sales, Erplain might be a viable starting point, especially if the price is significantly lower than Thrive, provided it genuinely offers the B2B functionalities you need. However, the extremely low review count suggests it may be a relatively new or less widely adopted app. Merchants needing more robust inventory management, multi-channel syncing, advanced reporting, and AI-powered automation should strongly consider Thrive Inventory Management. Its high review count provides greater confidence in its reliability and feature set.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the complexity of the business and its need for sophisticated inventory management. If the merchant is unsure, prioritizing Thrive due to its proven track record and feature set is generally safer. Exploring demos or free trials, if available, is highly recommended before making a final decision.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Without hands-on experience, it's difficult to determine ease of use. However, Thrive Inventory Management's larger user base might indicate a more refined user experience due to more user feedback and iterative improvements over time. Consider looking for online tutorials or demo videos to assess the user interface of each app.
Which app offers better customer support?
The provided data doesn't include information about customer support. Checking the app listings for response times and available support channels (e.g., email, chat, phone) is crucial. More reviews often indicate a more established support infrastructure, but this isn't always the case.
Does either app offer a free trial?
The provided data does not indicate whether either app offers a free trial. Merchants should check the Shopify App Store listings for each app to see if a free trial or demo is available.
Which app is more affordable?
Pricing information is not included in the provided data. Merchants need to visit the Shopify App Store listings for both apps to compare pricing plans and determine which is more cost-effective for their needs. Consider also the cost of your time, which can be saved by using Thrive's inventory management AI tools.
Which app is better suited for a high-volume dropshipping business?
Thrive Inventory Management's multi-channel syncing and automated purchase order features suggest it might be better suited for a high-volume dropshipping business. The ability to sync inventory across multiple sales channels and automate the reordering process would be crucial for managing the demands of a high-volume operation. However, deeper research is needed to see if Thrive can integrate with specific dropshipping vendors/applications that the merchant uses.
