ES Background Music Player vs Etoo ‑ Xmas Snow Animationfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between ES Background Music Player and Etoo ‑ Xmas Snow Animation are presented with apps targeting vastly different needs. ES Background Music Player aims to enhance the website experience with customizable audio playback. Its strength lies in its described customizability, allowing merchants to tailor the player's appearance and functionality to match their brand. It targets merchants who want to create a specific mood or atmosphere on their website through music or audio. Etoo ‑ Xmas Snow Animation, on the other hand, provides seasonal animation, specifically a 'Xmas Snow Animation'. Its function is to add a festive visual element, and has a very specific use case. The major difference lies in their purpose: audio enhancement versus visual effect, and general usability compared to highly niche and limited usage around a holiday. ES Background Music Player offers a broader application with its customizable features and potential for year-round use, depending on the music selected. Etoo ‑ Xmas Snow Animation is highly seasonal, aiming for a specific holiday aesthetic. Also, with zero reviews and a zero rating, it appears to be a relatively new, or unsuccessful app compared to Elfsight’s offering, despite the Elfsight app having a low number of reviews too.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking to enhance their website's atmosphere through music or sound, the ES Background Music Player is the clear choice. Its customizability and potential for year-round use provide greater value. However, the app only has 2 reviews, so should be tested thoroughly before committing to using it long term.
On the other hand, if a merchant specifically wants to add a festive, winter holiday theme to their store during the Christmas season, Etoo ‑ Xmas Snow Animation could be considered, assuming its functionality is reliable. However, with no reviews or ratings, its reliability is unknown and might represent a risk. Generally ES Background Music Player provides more value.

Which app offers better long-term value?
