ES Background Music Player vs Rax: Music Playerfor Shopify (2026)
ES Background Music Player and Rax: Music Player are both Shopify apps in the 'Animation and effects' category aiming to enhance the user experience with background music. ES Background Music Player, developed by Elfsight, focuses on providing a highly customizable music player widget that can be seamlessly integrated into any page of a Shopify store. It allows merchants to add multiple tracks, control the player's appearance (colors, size, position), and toggle the visibility of player elements like the progress bar and title. Rax: Music Player, on the other hand, currently lacks any user reviews or ratings, making it difficult to assess its features and usability. The key difference between the two apps lies in their current status and user feedback. ES Background Music Player boasts a perfect 5/5 rating, albeit based on only two reviews. However, the description clearly outlines a range of customization options catering to merchants who prioritize a visually appealing and easily adaptable music player. Rax: Music Player currently has no reviews or information to inform a merchant's choice. Therefore, determining its strengths or target audience at this point is impossible. Merchants should consider their needs when choosing between these apps. If ease of use, customizability, and existing (albeit limited) positive reviews are crucial, then ES Background Music Player is likely the better choice. However, if a merchant is willing to take a risk on a potentially newer app, Rax: Music Player *might* be a viable option once it has more user feedback and available features.

Our Verdict
For the majority of merchants, ES Background Music Player is the more sensible choice. The existing positive (if limited) reviews, combined with the detailed feature set and known vendor, make it a relatively low-risk option. Merchants who want a highly customizable music player and are willing to pay for a proven (albeit minimally reviewed) solution will likely find it a good fit.
Rax: Music Player is currently not recommended unless the merchant is willing to experiment with a brand new app and accept the associated risks. It lacks any user validation or feature details, making it impossible to determine its suitability for any specific use case. However, with time and feedback, it *could* potentially emerge as a viable alternative. In its current state, it's simply too early to assess its value.
