Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro vs Sales CountUpfor Shopify (2026)
Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro and Sales CountUp, while both listed under 'Stock Alerts' in the Shopify app store, address entirely different merchant needs. Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro focuses on recovering lost sales by enabling customers to sign up for notifications when out-of-stock products are replenished. Its strength lies in its ability to manage waitlists, customize alerts, and integrate seamlessly with various store pages to recapture potential revenue. It is aimed at merchants who frequently experience stockouts and want a solution to retain interested customers. Sales CountUp, on the other hand, is designed to showcase impact and build trust by displaying automated counters related to sales volume, donations, or environmental contributions. Sales CountUp is designed to boost customer confidence and demonstrate a brand's values. This app excels at customizing these counters and placing them strategically across the storefront. It is primarily aimed at merchants who prioritize transparency and want to highlight their positive impact on customers or the world. While both apps offer customization options, Essential ‑ Back In Stock Pro focuses on tailoring the customer experience related to stock alerts, whereas Sales CountUp focuses on customizing the visual representation of sales and impact metrics. The overlap in the 'Stock Alerts' category is misleading, as one manages out-of-stock situations, and the other showcases sales achievements.
