Essential Grid Gallery vs Reelify Shoppable Video & UGCfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Grid Gallery and Reelify Shoppable Video & UGC both target Shopify merchants seeking to enhance their store's visual appeal and drive sales through galleries and video content. However, they cater to distinct needs and offer significantly different feature sets. Essential Grid Gallery is a comprehensive gallery solution encompassing images, various video sources (including YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram), and lookbook capabilities, aiming for broad versatility in displaying products and brand content. Reelify, on the other hand, focuses specifically on leveraging existing short-form video content from TikTok, Reels, and user-generated content (UGC) to create shoppable experiences on product, collection, and home pages. Reelify's strength lies in its focused approach on shoppable short-form video and its commitment to mobile optimization and site speed. It's designed for merchants already heavily invested in TikTok, Reels, or influencer marketing. Essential Grid Gallery offers a wider range of gallery types and features, suitable for merchants seeking a more general-purpose gallery solution that includes image galleries, product grids, and diverse video integration. The large disparity in reviews suggests Essential Grid Gallery has been on the market and is more widely adopted.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily invested in creating short-form video content on platforms like TikTok and Reels, and seeking a streamlined way to convert that content into sales, Reelify Shoppable Video & UGC is the more appropriate choice. Its focus on mobile optimization and ease of use makes it ideal for those wanting to quickly integrate shoppable videos into their product and collection pages. On the other hand, if a merchant requires a more versatile and comprehensive gallery solution that encompasses a wider range of image and video sources, including lookbooks and product grids, Essential Grid Gallery offers a broader set of features to customize and display their products and brand content effectively.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the specific needs and existing content strategy of the merchant. If the merchant needs diverse features for images and videos, Essential Grid Gallery is the better choice. If the goal is to leverage existing short-form video assets, Reelify is optimal.
