Essential Sticky Add to Cart vs Payment Rules Hide PaymentHerofor Shopify (2026)
Essential Sticky Add to Cart and Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero, while both listed under the 'Checkout' category on Shopify, address fundamentally different aspects of the customer journey. Essential Sticky Add to Cart focuses on optimizing the product browsing and initial purchase decision stage by improving product visibility and encouraging immediate action with features like a sticky 'Add to Cart' button, countdown timers, and express checkout options. It aims to increase conversions by making it easier for customers to add items to their cart, especially on mobile devices. Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero, on the other hand, centers on streamlining the checkout process itself by providing merchants with granular control over payment method presentation. Its core value proposition lies in improving the checkout experience by customizing the payment options available to customers, based on factors like location or purchase amount. By tailoring the payment gateway visibility, it aims to remove friction and reduce cart abandonment during the final stages of the sales funnel. Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with low add-to-cart rates or high bounce rates on product pages, Essential Sticky Add to Cart is the more relevant solution. Its features directly address product page conversion challenges and can lead to a significant uplift in sales. However, for businesses with complex payment gateway setups, diverse customer segments, or a desire to fine-tune the checkout experience, Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero is the stronger choice. It offers the ability to personalize the checkout flow, potentially leading to fewer abandoned carts and a smoother customer journey.
Given the ratings, while Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero has a perfect 5/5, the larger number of reviews (218 vs 110) suggests a broader user base and potentially more real-world testing. However, the difference in rating is minimal, suggesting both apps are generally well-received. Ultimately, the best choice depends entirely on the specific pain points and business goals of the Shopify merchant.
