Essential Trust Badges & Icons vs LastHour Product Views Counterfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Trust Badges & Icons focuses primarily on building trust and credibility through visual elements. It provides merchants with a library of icons, trust badges, and banners, emphasizing customization and flexible placement. The app allows merchants to upload their own icons, tailor badges to match their brand identity, and strategically place these elements on product pages or other custom locations. This makes it well-suited for stores needing a simple and direct solution to improve customer confidence. LastHour Product Views Counter, on the other hand, takes a broader approach to conversion optimization. While it includes trust badges and icons, its core functionality revolves around creating urgency and scarcity through features like an AI-powered visitor counter, sales countdown timers, and a stock counter. The inclusion of a discount card scratch-off widget suggests a focus on engagement and immediate gratification. This wider feature set makes LastHour more appropriate for merchants who want to create a dynamic and data-driven shopping experience, emphasizing a more active approach to sales enhancement.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with displaying trust badges and guarantees in a visually appealing and customizable way, Essential Trust Badges & Icons is the better choice. Its robust icon library, customization options, and flexible placement capabilities make it a straightforward and effective tool for building credibility. The large number of reviews and continued 5-star rating suggests a reliable service.
However, if a merchant wants to implement a more comprehensive conversion optimization strategy incorporating elements of scarcity, urgency, and gamification, LastHour Product Views Counter is a stronger contender. The AI-powered visitor counter, sales countdown timers, and interactive scratch card offer a more dynamic approach to boosting sales. While having significantly fewer reviews at the moment, its feature set is more modern and holistic for those looking for an all-in-one conversion solution. This is best for stores needing more active engagement.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on their feature sets, Essential Trust Badges & Icons is likely easier to set up due to its narrower focus on visual elements and simpler customization options. LastHour, with its AI visitor counter and dynamic features, may require a slightly more involved setup process.
Which app is better for a new store?
Essential Trust Badges & Icons may be more suitable for a new store focused on building basic trust early on. LastHour's feature-rich approach might be better implemented after a store has some existing traffic and a solid understanding of its customer behavior.
Does one app slow down my store's loading speed more than the other?
Without specific performance data, it's difficult to definitively say. However, LastHour's complex features, like the AI visitor counter and scratch card, could potentially have a slightly larger impact on loading speed compared to Essential Trust Badges & Icons' simpler badge and icon displays. Testing each thoroughly is key to see how they perform in your specific store setup.
Which app is better for mobile users?
Both apps *should* be optimized for mobile. LastHour’s engagement features like countdown timers and scratch cards could work quite well on mobile, incentivizing quick decisions. Conversely, clear trust badges from Essential Trust Badges & Icons might alleviate concerns for mobile shoppers who tend to be more cautious when browsing on smaller devices.
What is the difference in customer support between the two apps?
The provided data doesn't offer insight into customer support quality for either app. User reviews and the app developer's website would be crucial in determining the responsiveness and helpfulness of their respective support teams.
