Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing sales and conversion rate optimization through building trust and highlighting guarantees, Essential Trust Badges & Icons is the clear choice. Its extensive customization options and focus on visual cues designed to increase perceived credibility make it a powerful tool. The high number of positive reviews further supports its effectiveness.
On the other hand, NightTheme ‑ Dark Mode Switch is best suited for merchants who place a high value on user experience and accessibility. If offering a dark mode option is a priority to cater to users browsing in low-light conditions, this app provides a simple solution. However, considering the significantly lower number of reviews, merchants should thoroughly test its compatibility with their store's theme and any other installed apps before committing.

Which app is better for improving SEO?
Neither app directly impacts SEO in a significant way. Essential Trust Badges & Icons may indirectly improve SEO by increasing conversion rates, which can positively influence search engine rankings over time. NightTheme ‑ Dark Mode Switch has very little SEO impact.
Can I use both apps together on my Shopify store?
Yes, the two apps address completely different needs, so it's possible to use them both. Using both depends on whether the user values providing the dark mode option to their customers AND enhancing trust through visuals.
Which app offers more customization options?
