Essential Upsell & Cross Sell vs Libautech: Sticky Add to Cartfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Upsell & Cross Sell and Libautech: Sticky Add to Cart address different points in the customer journey, though both aim to increase conversions and Average Order Value (AOV). Essential Upsell focuses on maximizing AOV by offering various upsell and cross-sell opportunities throughout the product page, cart, and even post-purchase. It is a comprehensive solution for merchants looking to bundle products, offer discounts on related items, and increase the overall value of each transaction through strategic product recommendations. The app caters to merchants wanting to implement a variety of upsell tactics. Libautech, on the other hand, is a simpler, more targeted app focusing solely on improving conversion rates by keeping the 'Add to Cart' button constantly visible. Libautech: Sticky Add to Cart targets merchants who believe customers are abandoning purchases due to difficulty finding or accessing the 'Add to Cart' button, especially on long product pages or mobile devices. Its strength lies in its simplicity and ease of use, aiming to reduce friction in the buying process by making the purchase button readily available. Essential Upsell provides a broader suite of tools for increasing AOV, while Libautech concentrates on streamlining the initial conversion process. Choosing between the two depends on whether a merchant's primary goal is to increase the total value of each order or to simply make it easier for customers to add products to their cart in the first place.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking to significantly boost their Average Order Value (AOV) and implement a comprehensive upsell and cross-sell strategy, Essential Upsell & Cross Sell is the better choice. Its wide range of features, including product recommendations, bundles, and post-purchase upsells, provides ample opportunities to increase revenue per transaction. The high number of positive reviews suggests a well-received and effective app. However, merchants primarily concerned with reducing friction in the buying process and making it as easy as possible for customers to add items to their cart, particularly on mobile devices, should opt for Libautech: Sticky Add to Cart. While the review count is very low, the app directly addresses the problem of lost conversions due to inaccessible 'Add to Cart' buttons.
