Essential Upsell & Cross Sell vs Payflow: COD & Payment Methodsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Essential Upsell & Cross Sell and Payflow: COD & Payment Methods serve distinct purposes within the Shopify ecosystem, despite sharing the 'Checkout' and 'Cart Customization' categories. Essential Upsell & Cross Sell focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) through strategic upselling and cross-selling techniques. It targets merchants looking to boost revenue by leveraging product recommendations, bundles, and post-purchase offers. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews suggest strong user satisfaction and effectiveness in achieving its core objective. Payflow, on the other hand, streamlines the Cash on Delivery (COD) process and enhances payment method management. It caters to merchants who utilize COD and require precise control over payment and delivery options based on various conditions. While it boasts a respectable rating, the significantly lower review count indicates a smaller user base or a more niche application. The key difference lies in their core functionalities: Essential Upsell drives sales through product suggestions, while Payflow optimizes payment and delivery processes.
