Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing revenue growth through strategic product recommendations and bundled offers, Essential Upsell & Cross Sell is the clear choice. Its robust features for displaying frequently bought together items, offering post-purchase upsells, and creating bundles provide a comprehensive approach to maximizing AOV. However, if the primary need is to collect specific information from customers *before* they checkout – for example, requiring a color choice for a customized product or gathering shipping instructions – Required: Cart page fields is the better option. While it has significantly fewer reviews, its focused functionality addresses a different, but equally important, pain point: ensuring order accuracy and preventing fulfillment issues. The choice ultimately hinges on whether increasing sales or gathering crucial customer data is the greater priority for the business.
