Ests Tax/Vat Switcher vs YouQuote: Request a Quote Formfor Shopify (2026)
Ests Tax/Vat Switcher and YouQuote: Request a Quote Form are both Shopify apps categorized under 'Pricing', but they serve entirely different purposes. Ests Tax/Vat Switcher, judging by its name, likely aims to help merchants manage and switch between displaying prices inclusive or exclusive of taxes and VAT. However, with a low rating of 1/5 based on only 2 reviews, its reliability and functionality are highly questionable. It's difficult to ascertain its strengths without more data, but its target audience would likely be merchants selling in regions with varying tax regulations. On the other hand, YouQuote: Request a Quote Form, boasting a perfect 5/5 rating from 27 reviews, empowers merchants to implement a 'request a quote' system on their Shopify store. This is particularly useful for businesses selling customizable products, offering bulk discounts, or handling complex orders that require individual pricing. YouQuote's strength lies in enabling personalized pricing and communication with potential customers, attracting a very different type of merchant: those needing to handle custom orders rather than fixed prices. It positions itself as a tool to facilitate sales rather than deal with taxes.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, YouQuote: Request a Quote Form appears to be the significantly better option for merchants needing a 'request a quote' system. Its high rating and numerous reviews strongly suggest a positive user experience and reliable functionality. Conversely, Ests Tax/Vat Switcher's extremely low rating and scant reviews raise serious concerns about its quality and effectiveness.
A merchant should only consider Ests Tax/Vat Switcher if they have a very specific need for a tax/VAT switcher and are willing to take a significant risk on an unproven app. For almost all other scenarios, YouQuote is the far more logical choice if its feature set aligns with their business needs. If merchants have the budget, they may want to seek an alternative tax solution that has both high rating and a significant number of reviews.
