ET Scarcity Low Stock Counter vs Sales CountUpfor Shopify (2026)
ET Scarcity Low Stock Counter and Sales CountUp both enjoy perfect 5-star ratings on the Shopify App Store, however, they address very different merchant needs despite both being listed under 'Stock alerts'. ET Scarcity Low Stock Counter, given its name, likely focuses on creating urgency by highlighting low stock levels to encourage purchases. Sales CountUp, on the other hand, is a broader tool centered around showcasing various forms of progress and impact, such as sales figures, charitable donations, or eco-friendly initiatives. The ability to target counters to specific products or date ranges and to put them on any storefront page adds to its flexibility. ET Scarcity Low Stock Counter is likely more straightforward, focused on a specific use case (low stock warnings). Sales CountUp boasts significantly more reviews (44 vs. 13), suggesting a broader user base and potentially more established track record, but it's important to remember that more features doesn't always equal better value for all merchants.

Our Verdict
For merchants solely focused on creating a sense of urgency around low stock to drive immediate sales, ET Scarcity Low Stock Counter might be the more direct solution. If the primary goal is to highlight sales volume, charitable donations, or other impact-related metrics to build trust and brand affinity, Sales CountUp is the clear choice. Its extensive customization options and broader feature set cater to merchants seeking to integrate social proof and brand values directly into their storefront.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's priorities. A smaller shop looking for a simple scarcity counter might find ET Scarcity Low Stock Counter adequate. However, established brands looking to showcase their impact and social responsibility will likely find Sales CountUp's more comprehensive feature set invaluable, despite it perhaps having a slightly steeper learning curve due to its enhanced customization capabilities.
