ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods vs Shipfn: Hide shipping methodfor Shopify (2026)
ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods and Shipfn: Hide shipping method, while both targeting cart customization, serve fundamentally different purposes. ETP focuses on optimizing the payment options presented to customers, allowing merchants to sort, hide, and rename payment gateways based on a rich set of rules like country, cart value, products, or customer tags. Its strength lies in streamlining the checkout process to increase conversions by presenting only relevant payment options. It targets merchants seeking to enhance the user experience at the payment stage, offering a no-code solution to improve checkout flow and reduce friction. Shipfn, on the other hand, centers on controlling the *shipping* methods offered at checkout. Its primary function is to hide shipping options based on rules configured around cart totals, quantities, weight, and customer location (country, city, state, zip code). It's designed for merchants who want to fine-tune shipping offerings based on order characteristics or customer geography, ensuring only appropriate and profitable shipping options are displayed. While both apps aim to improve the customer experience, one focuses on *payment* optimization while the other addresses *shipping* management. A critical difference is the lack of user reviews or ratings for Shipfn which makes it difficult to assess the app's reliability and actual performance.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing checkout conversion rate optimization through tailored payment options, ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods appears to be the stronger choice, evidenced by its high rating and numerous positive reviews. Its feature set allows for granular control over which payment methods are displayed, based on a wide variety of conditions. Shipfn is more niche, suited to merchants specifically looking to manage and restrict *shipping* options based on cart contents and customer location. However, due to the lack of any reviews, there is no evidence to support its functionality or reliability.
Given the information available, ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods is generally the safer and more versatile option for merchants looking to improve their cart customization and checkout experience. Until Shipfn accumulates some reviews and provides evidence of its efficacy, ETP remains the more credible choice. If, however, your primary concern lies solely with shipping management, and you're comfortable taking a risk with an unproven app, Shipfn might be worth exploring.
