Ex Request a Quote, Hide Price vs Magical Make an Offerfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants needing to manage pricing flexibility have two compelling options: Ex Request a Quote, Hide Price and Magical Make an Offer. Ex Request a Quote, Hide Price focuses primarily on hiding prices and enabling a 'Request a Quote' flow, catering to B2B or specific B2C scenarios where negotiated pricing or custom configurations are required. It offers robust control over price visibility and detailed data collection through customizable quote forms. Magical Make an Offer, in contrast, is designed for broader applications, allowing customers to submit offers and negotiate prices, including 'Pay What You Want' models, suitable for boosting sales and engaging customers in a more dynamic pricing environment. The key difference lies in their primary function. Ex Request a Quote, Hide Price is about controlling and restricting price visibility, replacing it with a quote request process. Magical Make an Offer is about facilitating customer-initiated price negotiations and encouraging sales through flexible pricing strategies. The former prioritizes lead generation and detailed inquiries, while the latter focuses on driving sales through dynamic pricing. While both handle 'pricing quotes' the approach and features differ significantly.

Our Verdict
If you need to hide prices and manage complex quotes, especially in a B2B environment, Ex Request a Quote, Hide Price is the better choice. Its features for rule-based price visibility and customizable quote forms provide granular control. However, if you're seeking to increase sales through flexible pricing and customer-initiated offers, particularly in a B2C setting, Magical Make an Offer is more appropriate. Its focus on 'Pay What You Want' and automated offer management can lead to increased engagement and revenue, even though its quote capturing functionality isn't as robust. The higher number of reviews for Magical Make an Offer, despite the slightly lower rating, also suggests wider adoption and potentially more community support.
