ExIm ‑ Export Import pages vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
ExIm ‑ Export Import pages and Selling Point are both Shopify apps falling under the 'Selling online' and 'Store data importer' categories, but they cater to very different needs. ExIm focuses on streamlining store setup and development, allowing merchants and developers to copy pages, blog posts, and theme settings between stores, particularly useful for staging and demo environments. Selling Point, on the other hand, addresses the specific challenge of migrating gift cards and store credit balances from other platforms or POS systems to Shopify, simplifying a typically manual and time-consuming process. The key difference lies in their target audience. ExIm is primarily aimed at store developers and merchants managing multiple Shopify stores or those who want an easy way to transfer settings between a test and live environment. Selling Point is geared toward merchants migrating to Shopify from another platform or POS and wanting to bring their existing gift card and store credit data with them. The apps offer different types of data import capabilities, one related to structural elements of the store, the other to financial liabilities to customers. Selling Point enjoys a significantly higher rating (5/5) and a larger number of reviews (45) compared to ExIm (3.2/5 with 10 reviews), suggesting stronger user satisfaction. This difference could be due to the very specific problem Selling Point solves, and perhaps a simpler and easier user experience.

Our Verdict
Choosing between ExIm and Selling Point depends entirely on your specific needs. If you are a store developer or a merchant managing multiple Shopify stores and need to copy pages, blog posts, or theme settings between environments, ExIm is the logical choice, despite its lower rating and fewer reviews. However, if your primary concern is migrating existing gift card or store credit data from another platform or POS system to Shopify, Selling Point is the clear winner, boasting a perfect rating and a larger user base, signifying user confidence and a proven track record for successful migrations.
Due to its higher rating and focus on a very concrete problem with clear ROI, Selling Point is likely the better choice for most merchants. ExIm seems aimed at a more niche audience with technical needs, and its lower rating and review count suggests a higher risk of dissatisfaction.
