Exporto ‑ Products data export vs MP ‑ Store Migration & Importfor Shopify (2026)
Exporto ‑ Products data export and MP ‑ Store Migration & Import, while both rated highly, serve vastly different purposes for Shopify merchants. Exporto focuses on product data export, specifically crafting live XML feeds tailored for advertising and sales platforms like Facebook, Google Merchant Center, and others. Its strength lies in its customizability, allowing merchants to define tag names, nesting levels, and rules for their product feeds. This suggests a target audience of merchants actively involved in multi-channel selling and advertising who require granular control over their product data. MP ‑ Store Migration & Import, on the other hand, is focused on the migration and importing of store data, likely facilitating the transfer of products, customers, orders, and other essential information between Shopify stores or from other platforms. While specific features are not detailed, the app's name and the considerably higher number of reviews (109 vs. 5) suggests a wider adoption, indicating it addresses a more fundamental need of many merchants, particularly those new to Shopify or undergoing significant store changes. The lack of detailed feature description for MP limits a detailed comparison of feature granularity.

Our Verdict
The choice between Exporto and MP depends entirely on the merchant's needs. If the primary goal is to create highly customized product feeds for advertising platforms to improve sales channel performance, Exporto is the clear choice, offering granular control over XML data. However, for merchants migrating to Shopify or importing data into their store, MP ‑ Store Migration & Import is the more suitable option, addressing a different and more foundational challenge. The significant difference in the number of reviews suggests it is a reliable and well-established solution for this specific use case. For a new Shopify store owner, MP would likely be used at the beginning of their journey to set up their store.
