Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking to directly engage customers through SMS marketing and leverage data segmentation for personalized campaigns, ExpressText Connect is the better choice. The promise of hands-on support is also a significant advantage. However, if the goal is to enhance the overall user experience by transforming their store into a PWA, making it installable on various devices, and leveraging push notifications without extensive coding, Progressier — PWA & Web Push is the more suitable option. It is important to note that the significantly higher review count for ExpressText Connect gives it more weight and credibility in the market as of 2026 based on provided data.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific business goals and technological capabilities. If direct SMS marketing is a priority and hands-on support is valued, ExpressText Connect is the stronger option. If improving the mobile web app experience and user engagement is key, Progressier is a better choice, assuming the merchant is comfortable with potentially less user feedback represented in the number of reviews.
