Our Verdict
For merchants wanting a robust SMS marketing solution with personalized messaging, ExpressText Connect seems to be the better option, given its existing positive reviews and emphasis on data synchronization and support. However, merchants who specifically want to capitalize on web push notifications for immediate engagement, especially around abandoned carts and price drops, might find Pushloop to be a better fit. The lack of reviews for Pushloop means that merchants would need to weigh its feature set against the risks of adopting an unproven app.
Common Questions

Both apps claim to be easy to use or seamless, but without more information, it is difficult to determine which is actually easier to set up for the average merchant. The white-glove service from ExpressText Connect potentially gives it an edge in setup support.
Which app is better for abandoned cart recovery?
Pushloop specifically highlights abandoned cart recovery as a key feature, making it likely the better option if that is your primary goal. ExpressText Connect could potentially be used for abandoned cart reminders via SMS, but it's not its main focus.

Which app provides more granular control over customer segmentation?

Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, it is possible to use both apps simultaneously. ExpressText Connect focuses on SMS marketing, while Pushloop specializes in web push notifications. They operate on different communication channels, so they can be used together to reach customers through multiple platforms.
