Our Verdict
HOOK Social Login is generally the superior choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026, due to its focus on reducing friction and simplifying the login process. The significantly higher number of reviews (24 compared to Extendons' 1) suggests a wider user base and potentially more proven reliability. However, Extendons Animated Login might be suitable for stores where visual branding and a unique aesthetic are paramount and the merchant is willing to invest time in customizing the login experience. If speed and ease-of-use are the priorities, HOOK Social Login is the clear winner. If aesthetics are paramount, Extendons might be preferable, but the risk is significantly higher due to only 1 review.
