Extendons Quantity Selector vs GATE ‑ Checkout Validationfor Shopify (2026)
Extendons Quantity Selector and GATE ‑ Checkout Validation both address order limits, but they approach the problem from different angles and cater to distinct merchant needs. Extendons Quantity Selector focuses on enhancing the product page and cart experience by providing customizable quantity selectors with min/max limits, aiming to improve average order value and reduce cart abandonment through a better user interface. It appears geared towards merchants who want to provide a more controlled and branded quantity selection process. GATE ‑ Checkout Validation, on the other hand, offers a broader solution for controlling the entire checkout process. It aims to prevent invalid orders through server-side validation, with features for setting MOQ, restricting product combinations, and even controlling payment and shipping options based on customer, cart, or destination criteria. GATE seems ideal for merchants who need comprehensive control over their checkout flow to enforce complex business rules and prevent problematic orders, and for those leveraging Shop Pay and PayPal's express checkout options.
