Our Verdict
EZ Checkout Controller | Rules is a more established app with a positive rating and offers broader features like fraud protection and IP/country blocking. It is suitable for merchants seeking a comprehensive solution with potentially client-side validation. The lack of user feedback presents a risk. On the other hand, GATE ‑ Checkout Validation, while unrated, focuses on modern architecture with server-side validation and express checkout compatibility, making it appealing to merchants prioritizing performance and seamless checkout experiences.
If proven stability and a wider feature set are crucial, and some theme editing is acceptable, EZ Checkout Controller | Rules is likely the better choice, assuming the high rating is indicative of positive user experience. However, if prioritizing express checkout compatibility, server-side validation, and a no-code setup is more important, and you are comfortable being an early adopter, GATE ‑ Checkout Validation might be a worthwhile risk.
