EZ Exporter ‑ Data Exports vs Upstack: Site Intelligencefor Shopify (2026)
EZ Exporter - Data Exports and Upstack: Site Intelligence, while both residing in the 'Analytics' category on Shopify, cater to fundamentally different merchant needs. EZ Exporter focuses on data extraction and reporting. It empowers merchants to create custom CSV or Excel exports of their store data (orders, products, customers, etc.), automate these exports to various destinations, and even manipulate the data using Python-based calculated fields. Upstack, conversely, zeroes in on improving the accuracy and completeness of server-side data, specifically for advertising and marketing attribution. It addresses challenges like iOS 14 restrictions and aims to enhance ad performance on platforms like Meta and TikTok via advanced conversion tracking and pixel integration. The core difference lies in their objectives. EZ Exporter provides tools for merchants to analyze and utilize their own data for internal operations, ERP integration, or creating product feeds. Upstack, on the other hand, helps merchants optimize their advertising spend and gain better insights into their marketing campaigns by fixing attribution issues and improving conversion tracking. EZ Exporter empowers merchants to extract and manipulate data, whereas Upstack enhances data quality for improved advertising performance.
