Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on optimizing their website's internal linking structure to improve SEO, EZ Internal Linking Assistant *might* be a suitable choice, however, the limited number of reviews and lack of publicly available information make this difficult to determine. For merchants seeking to deeply customize their storefront, enrich product data, and create unique experiences through metafields, Metafields Guru is the clear choice. The app's extensive features, positive rating, and large number of reviews suggest a well-developed and reliable solution.
If a merchant is deciding between the two, they should assess if internal linking is a very high priority or if they have lots of custom data needing to be surfaced and maintained. It's worth noting that an app for each function could be installed if both were deemed useful to the business.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving my store's SEO?
EZ Internal Linking Assistant is likely more focused on SEO via internal links. Metafields Guru, while not directly an SEO tool, can indirectly improve SEO by creating richer and more informative product pages. However, Metafields Guru does not have a primary SEO benefit from metafields alone.
Can I use Metafields Guru to automatically generate internal links?
The provided information does not suggest that Metafields Guru has internal linking capabilities. Its focus is on managing and displaying custom data.
Does EZ Internal Linking Assistant offer features for managing custom product data?
Based on the information available, EZ Internal Linking Assistant is unlikely to provide features for managing custom product data. Its focus is presumably on internal linking.
Which app is easier to use for non-technical users?
Metafields Guru advertises an 'intuitive UI and user-assisting features' and claims you can 'Display metafields on the storefront without coding'. This would suggest it is more user-friendly for non-technical users. EZ Internal Linking Assistant's ease of use is unknown.
If I only have budget for one app, which one should I choose?
This depends on your store's needs. If SEO through internal linking is paramount, and EZ Internal Linking Assistant delivers on its presumed function, it *might* be the better choice, but further research is needed given its limited reviews. If extensive customization and data-driven functionality are more critical, Metafields Guru is the stronger and safer choice.
