EZ Product Image Translate vs Geolocation & Markets—Selectyfor Shopify (2026)
EZ Product Image Translate and Geolocation & Markets—Selecty both address internationalization for Shopify stores in 2026, but they approach the problem from different angles and target distinct merchant needs. EZ Product Image Translate focuses specifically on visual content, translating text within images and their alt text to cater to multilingual customers. This aims to improve engagement by showing relevant visuals and enhance international SEO. It directly addresses the challenge of maintaining visual consistency and relevance across different language markets. Geolocation & Markets—Selecty, on the other hand, takes a broader approach to internationalization, primarily focusing on dynamically adjusting prices, language, and currency based on a visitor's location. The app uses geolocation technology to recommend the correct market or redirect users automatically. It also offers various selectors (currency, language, country, market) so customers can manually choose their preferences. This focuses on providing a seamless localized shopping experience encompassing the entire store. Given the number of reviews and the focus on image translation and international SEO, the apps appear to offer a different value proposition and target different sets of needs for Shopify merchants.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing the visual aspects of their products and looking to improve international SEO, EZ Product Image Translate is likely the better option. Its focus on image translation and the intuitive dashboard caters specifically to that need. However, merchants who are actively using Shopify Markets or Global-e Managed Markets and require a comprehensive solution for geolocation, currency conversion, and language adaptation, should choose Geolocation & Markets—Selecty. Its broader feature set is better suited for managing a complex, multi-market presence. The high number of reviews for Selecty also suggests wider adoption and possibly a more mature feature set overall.

Which app is better for improving international SEO?
EZ Product Image Translate directly focuses on optimizing image alt text, making it better for improving international SEO for image searches.
