ez3D vs Picture It: AR & Art Previewsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants considering 3D/AR/VR apps have very different options in ez3D and Picture It: AR & Art Previews. ez3D positions itself as an affordable and simple solution for creating engaging 3D product visualizations suitable for a wide range of products. It emphasizes ease of use, requiring no coding or software downloads, and aims to bring the in-store experience online. However, the app currently lacks any user reviews, indicating a potentially new or unproven solution. Picture It: AR & Art Previews, on the other hand, focuses specifically on augmented reality previews for wall art. It boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with 35 reviews, suggesting a well-received app within its niche. The core difference lies in their target product categories and approach. ez3D aims for general 3D product visualization, while Picture It excels in AR-based previews specifically for art. Picture It also offers features tailored to art galleries and decor shops, such as auto-framing, virtual showrooms, and built-in analytics to track popular previews. ez3D emphasizes broad compatibility and subscriptions to fit various needs, but lacks the targeted features and social proof that Picture It provides within the art and decor domain. The absence of reviews for ez3D makes it a riskier choice compared to the established and well-rated Picture It, despite its potentially wider applicability.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants selling wall art, Picture It: AR & Art Previews is the clear winner. Its high rating, numerous positive reviews, and features tailored for art previews (AR, auto-framing, virtual showrooms) make it a robust and reliable choice. The built-in analytics also offer valuable insights for art stores.
ez3D might be suitable for merchants seeking general 3D product visualization across various product categories, *if* they are willing to take a risk on a new app without any existing reviews. Its focus on ease of use and broad compatibility could be appealing. However, the lack of social proof means merchants should proceed with caution, carefully evaluating its actual functionality and support before committing to a subscription. The absence of user feedback makes it difficult to assess its real-world performance and reliability compared to Picture It.
