Our Verdict
The choice between ezInvoices and Proveway hinges on a merchant's specific pain points. If a business spends considerable time creating invoices and desires a professional, branded invoice solution with built-in tax compliance, ezInvoices is the clear winner. Its focus is on improving the efficiency and presentation of the invoicing process.
However, if a merchant relies heavily on PayPal for payments and frequently encounters issues with holds or disputes due to tracking discrepancies, Proveway PayPal Tracking Sync is the more appropriate solution. Its automated tracking synchronization directly addresses these issues, helping merchants maintain a healthy PayPal account and access their funds more quickly. The larger review count suggests broader positive experiences with Proveway's capabilities.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
ezInvoices, with its 'One-Click' claim, likely offers a very simple setup process focused on immediate invoice creation. Proveway, while automated, likely requires initial configuration to connect to PayPal and potentially Stripe. The 'One-Click' claim of ezInvoices suggests it is a simple, low-barrier-to-entry app.
Does ezInvoices integrate with PayPal for payment processing?
The description doesn't explicitly mention direct PayPal integration for payment processing. It focuses on displaying payment terms and due dates on the invoice, implying manual payment tracking. Users would likely need to manually mark invoices as paid within Shopify after receiving payment through PayPal or other methods.
Can Proveway help me get PayPal Seller Protection?
Yes, the description explicitly states that Proveway 'turns on PayPal Seller Protections for each transaction as soon it syncs tracking to your PayPal account.'
Which app helps me get paid faster?
While ezInvoices helps by providing clear payment terms, Proveway directly influences payment speed by reducing PayPal holds and disputes through accurate tracking information. Therefore, Proveway is more likely to directly impact faster payment receipt.
If I already use another invoicing app, would I still need ezInvoices?
Potentially. If your current invoicing solution lacks crucial features like tax compliance for specific regions, customizable branding, or seamless shipping status integration, ezInvoices could offer significant improvements. Evaluate your current tool's shortcomings against ezInvoices' features to determine if the switch is warranted.
