Our Verdict
The choice between F: B2B Europe VAT Automation and Simple Affiliate hinges entirely on a merchant's business needs. If a merchant operates a B2B business in Europe and needs assistance with EU VAT compliance, F: B2B Europe VAT Automation is the more appropriate choice, assuming it delivers on its promise of seamless automation. However, the lack of reviews raises a significant concern. If a merchant is looking to boost sales and leverage the power of affiliate marketing, Simple Affiliate is the better option. Its high rating and numerous reviews suggest it's a reliable platform for managing affiliate programs. It is important to remember that these apps serve entirely different purposes, addressing different pain points within e-commerce.
Common Questions
Are these apps in direct competition?
No, these apps are not in direct competition. They address completely different needs. One is for tax compliance, and the other is for marketing.
Which app is better for a new Shopify store?
It depends on the new store's focus. If the store is B2B in Europe, it might need VAT automation. If the store is consumer-focused and wants to grow quickly, an affiliate program could be beneficial. Simple Affiliate likely represents less risk due to its established user base and positive reviews, but the lack of reviews on 'F: B2B Europe VAT Automation' does not necessarily mean it is worse; it simply represents higher uncertainty.
What are the risks of using F: B2B Europe VAT Automation with zero reviews?
The primary risk is that the app might not function as advertised or may have bugs that have not been identified. There is also a risk that the app will not be supported by the developer if issues arise.
Does Simple Affiliate handle international taxes?
While Simple Affiliate manages 1099 tax forms, this is a US-specific function. It's not designed for comprehensive international tax compliance like F: B2B Europe VAT Automation aims to provide (for EU VAT). If your affiliates are located globally, the app will not solve international tax issues but will support easy payout management across your network.
Could a store use both apps?
Yes, a store *could* use both apps. A B2B store operating in Europe could benefit from VAT automation and an affiliate program to drive sales. The apps don't overlap in functionality.
