Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook vs Hextom: WhatsApp, SMS & Pushfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants deciding between Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook and Hextom: WhatsApp, SMS & Push face a choice between a focused Facebook/Instagram messaging solution and a more comprehensive multi-channel communication platform. DMBook centers around acquiring anonymous Facebook subscribers with a single click and automating notifications for abandoned carts, price drops, restocks, and weekly product campaigns directly within Facebook Messenger and Instagram. This positions it as a tool primarily for merchants deeply invested in, or looking to expand into, Facebook and Instagram marketing. Hextom, on the other hand, offers a wider range of communication channels, including WhatsApp, SMS, and web push notifications. The significantly higher review count (280 vs. 4) and better rating (4.7/5 vs 4.2/5) suggest broader adoption and higher user satisfaction. While the specific features of Hextom are not detailed in the description provided, its headline indicates capabilities beyond just Facebook, making it suitable for merchants seeking a more versatile communication strategy. The lack of specific feature details for Hextom makes a direct feature-by-feature comparison more difficult.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants heavily invested in Facebook and Instagram marketing, or those specifically targeting that audience, Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook offers a streamlined solution for subscriber acquisition and automated messaging. The 1-click subscription feature could be a significant advantage. However, the very low review count means it carries a higher risk.
Hextom: WhatsApp, SMS & Push is a better fit for merchants seeking a more robust and versatile communication platform. Its multi-channel capabilities and higher rating, backed by a substantial number of reviews, suggest a more mature and reliable solution, even without detailed feature specifics. Merchants prioritizing a broader reach and established reputation should likely lean towards Hextom, but should confirm it has the key features they need.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook is potentially easier to set up if you are solely focused on Facebook and Instagram messaging, given its simplified 1-click subscription feature. Hextom might require more configuration due to supporting multiple channels.
Which app has better customer support?
The higher number of reviews for Hextom suggests a more mature support system, but without explicit information about customer support quality, it's difficult to determine definitively. Checking recent reviews or contacting their support teams is recommended.
Does Hextom offer abandoned cart recovery?
The provided description for Hextom doesn't explicitly state abandoned cart recovery. However, given its multi-channel capabilities, it's likely a feature, but merchants should confirm this with the app developer.
Is DMBook suitable for merchants not active on Facebook/Instagram?
No, Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook is primarily designed for merchants actively using Facebook and Instagram for marketing. If you're not actively using those platforms, this app would not be beneficial.
Which app is more scalable?
Hextom, with its multi-channel approach, likely offers better scalability for merchants looking to expand their communication strategy beyond Facebook and Instagram. As business needs evolve, having multiple channels already integrated could be advantageous.
