Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook vs ShareThis Share Buttonsfor Shopify (2026)
Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook and ShareThis Share Buttons represent fundamentally different approaches to marketing on Shopify. DMBook aims to directly engage with customers through Facebook and Instagram Messenger, focusing on personalized notifications and automated campaigns like abandoned cart recovery and price drop alerts. Its core strength lies in directly converting anonymous store visitors into potential buyers via 1-click Messenger subscriptions. In contrast, ShareThis Share Buttons is designed to expand the organic reach of content by making it easy for visitors to share product pages and blog posts across a wide range of social media platforms. The key difference lies in the marketing channel. DMBook focuses on direct messaging within the Meta ecosystem, while ShareThis focuses on enabling users to promote the store's content on their own social networks. DMBook seems to target merchants looking for immediate sales boosts and personalized marketing, while ShareThis caters to those seeking broader brand awareness and organic traffic growth. The large difference in ratings suggests a potential difference in user satisfaction, though DMBook's very low review count should be considered.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing direct engagement and immediate sales through personalized notifications, Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook might be a suitable choice, *if* the low review count and associated risks are carefully considered. However, for merchants focused on expanding their organic reach and brand awareness through social sharing, ShareThis Share Buttons presents a better option, even though the lower rating is a concern and should be investigated by looking at those individual reviews.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the specific marketing goals. If driving immediate sales through automated messages is crucial, DMBook is worth exploring *with caution*. If the objective is to grow brand visibility and traffic organically, ShareThis is more appropriate, but the lower rating warrants careful consideration and potentially exploring alternative social sharing apps.
Common Questions
Which app is better for abandoned cart recovery?
Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook is specifically designed for abandoned cart recovery via automated Facebook Messenger messages. ShareThis does not offer this functionality.
Which app helps me reach more customers?
Both apps aim to reach more customers but through different methods. DMBook uses direct messaging to engage subscribers, while ShareThis relies on customers sharing content with their networks.
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, DMBook might be simpler to set up initially due to its focus on a single platform (Facebook Messenger). ShareThis may require more configuration due to the options for customizing button design and placement across multiple social channels.
Which app is better for building a long-term marketing strategy?
ShareThis Share Buttons likely contributes more to a long-term organic marketing strategy by expanding brand visibility and driving traffic from various social media platforms. DMBook's impact may be more immediate but potentially less sustainable in the long run.
What should I be wary of when considering Facebook Bulk Messages DMBook?
