Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing direct sales through Facebook and Instagram and looking for a seamless social commerce experience, the Facebook & Instagram app is a suitable choice. It centralizes social media sales management and offers tools for targeted advertising. However, the lower rating suggests potential usability issues or feature gaps.
On the other hand, if a merchant's primary focus is on enhancing email and SMS marketing efforts through personalized automation and AI-driven insights, the Mailchimp Email SMS Marketing app is the stronger recommendation. Its higher rating and focus on automation for conversions make it a compelling choice for businesses seeking to nurture customer relationships and drive sales via email and SMS. Ideally, larger stores would want both, but for smaller businesses needing to prioritize, Mailchimp likely provides more immediate ROI.
