Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on leveraging social media for direct sales and building a strong brand presence on Facebook and Instagram, the Facebook & Instagram app is the more suitable choice. Its features are tailored to maximize sales potential within the Meta ecosystem. However, merchants aiming to diversify their sales channels and tap into the established customer bases of major marketplaces like Amazon, Target Plus, eBay, and Walmart should opt for Shopify Marketplace Connect. While Facebook & Instagram has more reviews, the higher rating of Shopify Marketplace Connect suggests potentially higher user satisfaction with its specific marketplace management capabilities.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a small business with limited marketing budget?
Facebook & Instagram might be better initially due to built-in ad tools and a focus on social media marketing, which can be budget-friendly. However, it depends on whether their target customers are primarily on those platforms.
