FacturaDirecta vs Tax Rex ‑ Sales Tax Automationfor Shopify (2026)
FacturaDirecta and Tax Rex offer solutions within the Finances/Taxes category on Shopify, but address distinct needs. FacturaDirecta focuses on automated invoice generation for orders, primarily aimed at Spanish-speaking markets given its feature for generating 'factura-e' digital invoices. Its core value proposition is simplifying invoice creation and providing options like generating tax models. Conversely, Tax Rex targets US-based merchants struggling with sales tax compliance. It aims to automate sales tax reporting, filing, and economic nexus monitoring, explicitly mentioning features for handling marketplace sales and simplifying state registration. The significant difference lies in their geographical focus and the type of tax they handle. FacturaDirecta seems positioned for businesses needing automated invoicing and basic sales accounting features, while Tax Rex is purpose-built for the complexities of US state sales tax. User ratings and review counts also paint a different picture, with Tax Rex enjoying far greater user satisfaction and a much larger user base, suggesting broader adoption and potentially more refined features related to US sales tax needs.
