Famous Finder App vs WAX: marketing on WhatsAppfor Shopify (2026)
Famous Finder App and WAX: marketing on WhatsApp represent drastically different approaches to marketing on Shopify. Famous Finder App is a niche app designed to identify celebrity or influencer customers, allowing merchants to potentially leverage their purchases for marketing purposes. Its focus is on automated identification based on a proprietary database. In contrast, WAX: marketing on WhatsApp is a comprehensive WhatsApp marketing platform built for conversational commerce. It enables merchants to create and manage marketing campaigns, automate customer journeys, and provide customer support through WhatsApp, aiming to drive sales and improve customer retention. WAX focuses on building direct customer relationships and leveraging the high engagement rates of WhatsApp. The key differentiator lies in their primary objectives. Famous Finder aims to provide information that can be used for potential marketing activities by discovering celebrity customers, while WAX aims to actively engage and convert customers through targeted WhatsApp communications. Famous Finder is suited for merchants who are interested in celebrity endorsements (and willing to find them organically through their customer base), whereas WAX provides tools for direct engagement and sales conversions. Given their vastly different focuses, the 'Marketing - Other' category is an oversimplification. Famous Finder App could also be considered in the Analytics or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) realm. WAX is more accurately positioned within marketing automation and conversational commerce categories.

Our Verdict
WAX: marketing on WhatsApp is the superior choice for most Shopify merchants seeking to actively grow sales and improve customer relationships through targeted marketing campaigns. Its high rating, significant number of reviews, and comprehensive feature set for WhatsApp marketing make it a robust solution. Famous Finder App is only valuable for merchants who highly prioritize celebrity endorsements and are willing to rely on organic customer purchases to identify potential influencers. Its limited adoption (indicated by the low number of reviews) and narrow focus make it a niche product.
Therefore, for merchants who are looking for a tool to actively grow their business and enhance customer relationships, WAX: marketing on WhatsApp is the clear winner. Only those with a specific and strong focus on celebrity endorsements should consider Famous Finder App.
