Fanboard ‑ Customer Videos vs Sleek Social Sharingfor Shopify (2026)
Fanboard ‑ Customer Videos and Sleek Social Sharing address distinct aspects of social commerce for Shopify merchants. Fanboard focuses on user-generated content by enabling merchants to collect customer videos in exchange for discounts. Its primary strength lies in its ability to automate the process of gathering authentic video testimonials and content for various marketing channels. In contrast, Sleek Social Sharing simplifies product sharing on social media and other channels. It targets merchants looking to increase product visibility and drive traffic through customer sharing. While both apps fall under the 'Social trust - Other' Shopify category, their approaches are fundamentally different. Fanboard offers a mechanism for creating a library of unique customer-generated videos for marketing purposes. It caters to merchants who need more content and want to leverage customer experiences. Sleek Social Sharing, on the other hand, focuses on immediate, organic reach by empowering customers to share products quickly and easily. The value of Sleek Social Sharing is primarily in expanding the potential customer reach for each product page, whereas Fanboard provides assets for long-term marketing campaigns.

Our Verdict
Sleek Social Sharing is likely the better option for merchants prioritizing immediate product visibility and easy social sharing. Given its five-star rating (albeit based on limited reviews), and simple drag-and-drop setup, it offers a low-barrier-to-entry solution for increasing product reach. Fanboard, despite having no ratings or reviews, holds promise for merchants seeking to build a library of authentic customer-generated video content for marketing. However, the lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice, especially if rapid deployment and guaranteed results are crucial.
Ultimately, the selection depends on the merchant's specific needs. If the goal is to generate content for long-term marketing campaigns and building brand trust through customer testimonials, Fanboard is the better choice, assuming the merchant is willing to invest time in its initial implementation and gather customer submissions. If the goal is primarily to increase product visibility and drive traffic through effortless customer sharing, Sleek Social Sharing is preferable.
