FastThis ‑ Product Creator vs Membership Card Scanner ‑Perkdfor Shopify (2026)
FastThis ‑ Product Creator and Membership Card Scanner ‑Perkd are vastly different Shopify apps, despite sharing the 'Operations - Other' category. FastThis is positioned as a rapid product creation tool, specifically tailored for vintage shops. Its strength lies in streamlining the product listing process through customizable workflows and automated fields, aiming to minimize errors and accelerate inventory updates. Perkd, on the other hand, focuses on in-store customer loyalty by enabling merchants to quickly identify members via card scanning or manual search at the point of sale. The core difference lies in their target audience and functionality. FastThis caters to merchants, primarily in the vintage sector, who need to efficiently create and manage product listings. It emphasizes automation and error reduction during product creation. Perkd is aimed at brick-and-mortar businesses with existing loyalty programs, providing them a digital solution for quickly identifying members and associating them with orders in a physical store setting. The rating discrepancy could indicate differences in user satisfaction, though the relatively low number of reviews for both apps makes it difficult to draw firm conclusions.

Our Verdict
The choice between FastThis and Perkd depends entirely on the merchant's needs. FastThis is the clear winner for vintage shops or businesses requiring a robust and efficient system for product creation and management. Its focus on minimizing errors and automating workflows makes it ideal for streamlining the listing process, especially for unique or varied product inventories.
Conversely, Membership Card Scanner ‑Perkd is the superior choice for merchants with existing loyalty programs who need a solution to identify customers quickly at a physical Point of Sale. If the primary goal is to streamline customer recognition and integrate loyalty programs into in-store operations, Perkd provides a focused and efficient solution, despite the lower rating; further investigation into the negative reviews is recommended, however.
