FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed vs Refresh+for Shopify (2026)
FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed and Refresh+ cater to different but vital aspects of a Shopify store. FavSEO focuses on search engine optimization and page speed enhancement, targeting merchants looking to improve their store's visibility and performance in search results. Its strength lies in its comprehensive suite of tools, including title/meta description editing, SEO auditing, bulk editing capabilities, rank tracking, keyword finding, and sitemap submission. On the other hand, Refresh+ addresses the issue of content synchronization, ensuring customers always see the latest changes made in the Shopify Admin. Refresh+ is designed for merchants who frequently update their online store with new products, blog posts, or other content and want to avoid customer confusion caused by outdated information. Its core strength is its ability to instantly reflect updates on the storefront, coupled with customer notifications and refresh action logs. While both apps fall under the 'Site optimization - Other' category, FavSEO is geared towards attracting new customers through SEO, while Refresh+ focuses on enhancing the experience of existing customers by keeping the storefront updated. Given that the rating and reviews for FavSEO are positive while Refresh+ has no ratings or reviews, indicates Refresh+ is a newer app to the market and hasn't established a user base as of 2026.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing organic traffic growth and search engine optimization, FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed is the clear choice. Its comprehensive suite of SEO tools provides everything needed to analyze, optimize, and track performance in search results. The page speed optimization features are also a significant advantage. However, for merchants who frequently update their store's content and want to ensure customers always see the latest information, Refresh+ is the better option. While it lacks SEO features, its focus on content synchronization addresses a critical aspect of customer experience, especially for stores with dynamic product catalogs or frequently updated blog content. Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's specific priorities: acquisition vs. customer experience. The lack of reviews for Refresh+ does add some risk.
