FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed vs Rocket Page Speed Optimizerfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants face a choice between FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed and Rocket Page Speed Optimizer. FavSEO positions itself as a simple yet powerful SEO tool, focusing on traditional SEO elements like title tags, meta descriptions, and keyword research, coupled with page speed insights. It caters to merchants who want hands-on control over their SEO strategy and understand the fundamentals of search engine optimization. In contrast, Rocket Page Speed Optimizer concentrates solely on improving page speed and Core Web Vitals automatically, appealing to merchants who prioritize a hands-off approach to performance optimization. The primary distinction lies in their core functionalities: FavSEO provides a suite of SEO tools, including editing capabilities, keyword tracking, and sitemap submission, while Rocket Page Speed Optimizer is laser-focused on automatically optimizing page speed and improving Core Web Vitals. Furthermore, FavSEO emphasizes manual optimization through its editors and audit tools, while Rocket Page Speed Optimizer champions automation with minimal user intervention. This divergence makes FavSEO suitable for merchants seeking comprehensive SEO management, and Rocket Page Speed Optimizer ideal for those prioritizing automated performance enhancements.

Our Verdict
FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed is the better choice for merchants who are actively involved in managing their store's SEO and want a tool that provides them with the ability to edit metadata, track keywords, and submit sitemaps. Its simple but powerful nature and audit tools are suited for users seeking granular control. However, the low number of reviews should warrant caution.
Rocket Page Speed Optimizer caters to merchants who prioritize page speed and Core Web Vitals improvements with minimal effort. Its automated optimization and focus on key metrics like LCP and FCP make it ideal for merchants who lack the technical expertise or time to manually optimize their store's performance. Even though it has a higher number of reviews, its zero rating suggests potential significant issues, and merchants should be very wary unless issues are resolved in the future.
Common Questions
