FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed vs Shogun ‑ A/B Testingfor Shopify (2026)
FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed and Shogun ‑ A/B Testing are both highly-rated Shopify apps (5/5 stars) designed to optimize different aspects of an e-commerce store. FavSEO focuses on search engine optimization, offering tools for editing metadata, analyzing keywords, submitting sitemaps to Google, and monitoring page speed. It targets merchants looking to improve their search engine rankings and organic traffic. Shogun ‑ A/B Testing, on the other hand, centers on conversion rate optimization through A/B testing of various elements like pages, themes, templates, and even product prices. Shogun ‑ A/B Testing is aimed at merchants looking to fine-tune their store's design and pricing strategies to maximize revenue. It allows for audience segmentation in tests and goal setting for key metrics. While both fall under the "Site optimization - Other" category, FavSEO optimizes for search engines, while Shogun optimizes for user experience and sales conversion once visitors are already on the site. The size of the user bases, as reflected in the relatively small number of reviews for both apps, suggests these are either newer entrants or cater to a more specialized need.

Our Verdict
Choosing between FavSEO ‑ SEO & Page Speed and Shogun ‑ A/B Testing depends entirely on your priorities. If your primary goal is to improve your store's visibility in search engine results and attract more organic traffic, FavSEO is the clear choice. It provides essential tools for managing metadata, tracking keywords, and optimizing page speed. However, if you're focused on maximizing the revenue you generate from existing traffic, Shogun ‑ A/B Testing is the better option. Its A/B testing capabilities allow you to experiment with different designs, pricing strategies, and user experiences to find what works best for your audience. For many stores, using both in conjunction will provide the best results, first attracting customers through SEO, then optimizing for conversion using A/B tests.
