Our Verdict
For smaller merchants seeking a straightforward solution to add basic fees and deposits, FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits may be a better choice. Its perfect rating, although based on a small sample size, suggests a positive user experience. However, for larger or more complex operations requiring extensive customization, location-based fees, or Shopify Plus integration for payment/shipping method fees and checkout fees, UpCharge Fees Addons Surcharge is the stronger option, despite its slightly lower rating. Merchants should carefully weigh the importance of ease of use versus feature richness when deciding between these two apps.
