FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits vs WBL ‑ Custom Fees (POS)for Shopify (2026)
FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits and WBL ‑ Custom Fees (POS) both address the need for custom fees within a Shopify store, but they target different aspects and potentially different audiences. FeeBee, with a perfect 5/5 rating based on 14 reviews, seems to be a more established and trusted solution. WBL ‑ Custom Fees (POS), on the other hand, is a newer entrant with no reviews, explicitly focusing on Point of Sale (POS) integration. This suggests WBL is designed for brick-and-mortar stores utilizing Shopify POS, while FeeBee's broader application (inferred from the name) could extend to online sales as well. The primary distinction lies in their core functionality and target user. WBL prioritizes custom fee application during POS transactions. It allows staff to instantly apply fees at checkout, focusing on transparent in-person transactions. FeeBee's generalized name suggests a wider scope, perhaps encompassing fees related to deposits, payment processing, or other aspects of the online store. The absence of detailed feature descriptions for FeeBee makes a direct feature-by-feature comparison more challenging, emphasizing the reliance on customer reviews to determine its full capabilities.

Our Verdict
WBL ‑ Custom Fees (POS) is the clear choice for brick-and-mortar Shopify merchants specifically using Shopify POS and requiring flexible custom fee application at the point of sale. The features directly address that need, providing transparency and control over fees applied in-person. However, the lack of reviews presents a risk, and merchants should carefully test it before widespread adoption.
FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits is a safer bet for merchants needing a more general-purpose fee management solution, especially if they aren't heavily reliant on POS. The strong rating suggests user satisfaction, implying ease of use and effective fee handling capabilities. Without more detail on FeeBee's specific functionalities, it's hard to provide a definitive recommendation for all merchants; however, its positive reviews make it a compelling option for those prioritizing trust and proven performance.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a purely online store?
Without further information, FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits is the more likely candidate for a purely online store. WBL ‑ Custom Fees (POS) is explicitly designed for Point of Sale, suggesting it's less relevant for online-only businesses.
Which app is better for a business with both online and physical stores?
The best choice depends on the specific needs. If the primary requirement is managing fees within the POS system, WBL might be preferred. If the need is to manage various fee types across both online and offline channels, further investigation into FeeBee's capabilities is necessary.
Is WBL ‑ Custom Fees (POS) risky to use given it has no reviews?
Potentially, yes. No reviews indicate that the app is either very new or not widely used. Merchants should carefully test the app thoroughly in a staging environment before deploying it to a live store.
Can both apps handle tax implications for custom fees?
Only WBL ‑ Custom Fees (POS) explicitly states it can mark fees as taxable or non-taxable. FeeBee's ability to handle tax implications is unknown based on the provided information.
Are there any concerns about FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits with only 14 reviews?
While a higher review count would be ideal, a 5/5 rating with 14 reviews suggests strong user satisfaction. The low review count simply means fewer merchants have provided feedback, not necessarily that the app is unreliable. More reviews would increase confidence, but the current rating is encouraging.
