FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits vs WBL ‑ Time Based Discountsfor Shopify (2026)
FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits and WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts both operate within the Pricing category on Shopify, but their functionalities diverge significantly. FeeBee appears to cater to merchants requiring the ability to add fees or deposits to their products, likely targeting businesses that deal with reservations, custom orders, or situations where deposits are standard practice. WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts, on the other hand, focuses on offering time-sensitive promotional discounts, a strategy more suited to businesses aiming to drive sales through urgency and limited-time offers. The key difference lies in their value proposition: FeeBee allows for increased revenue through fees and secures payment with deposits, while WBL aims to boost sales volume through strategic discounting. FeeBee has a proven track record, albeit with a small number of reviews, showing perfect customer satisfaction so far. WBL currently lacks any reviews or ratings, making it harder to assess its performance and reliability. Given the data available in 2026, a risk-averse merchant might lean towards FeeBee, while a more adventurous merchant seeking a specific time-based discount solution could consider WBL, albeit with caution. The absence of information regarding ease of use and pricing for both apps makes a definitive recommendation challenging. The merchant must also consider the potential impact of fees and deposits on conversion rates versus the short-term benefits of time based discounts.

Our Verdict
Based on the limited information available, FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits appears to be the more reliable choice, given its perfect rating and some evidence of user satisfaction. It's best suited for merchants who need to collect deposits or add fees to their products, such as those offering custom services or managing reservations.
WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts presents a higher risk due to the absence of any user feedback. While its functionality could be valuable for driving sales through time-limited offers, merchants should proceed with caution and potentially conduct thorough testing before fully implementing it. Consider the impact on conversion rates and profit margins when implementing either solution.
Common Questions
Which app is better for businesses needing to secure partial payment upfront?
FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits is the clear choice here, as its core function is managing deposits. WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts does not address this need.
Which app is better for running flash sales?
WBL ‑ Time Based Discounts is designed for time-sensitive promotions, making it the more suitable option for flash sales. FeeBee does not offer any features relating to discounting or promotions.
Is FeeBee likely to be more expensive than WBL?
Without pricing information for either app, it's impossible to say definitively. However, given FeeBee's existing traction and customer satisfaction, it may command a slightly higher price point, assuming both apps operate on a freemium or subscription model.
Can WBL handle discounts that apply to specific product categories?
Based on the name and provided information, there's no indication that WBL supports category-specific discounts. It is likely restricted to store-wide or product-specific time limited offers.
If both apps are free, which one should I choose first?
If both apps are free, FeeBee might be a better starting point due to its existing positive reviews, providing some level of confidence and social proof, assuming the merchant has a use case for fees or deposits. This allows for a less risky exploration of its functionality. WBL might be a good test if the merchant is willing to risk installing an unproven app.
